Will's dream earlier this week featured a guy from the corporate years who injured himself in the dream. It was around the same period of time when Will's lunch mate was nicknamed Rocky DeBoato who was a notorious boat rocker. There's the hook into today's episode which is the question: Is engaging in elective chaos a form of rocking the boat or just good common life practice of taking care of business? The simplicity of not rocking the boat can be deceiving when the boat still has needed repairs that get overlooked because of the philosophy of steady as she goes. Talking in circles is deceiving, too like as if you're not locked into linear thinking. Supportive burden sharing is a trademark with Jill and Will. Win-win was the business buzz word; progress through harmony may be a better expression for living on a moonbeam where getting things done is one of the indicators. That notwithstanding, it still always feels like rocking the boat when the start-up clangs with noise and dust and the sense of disorganization until the final smudge is wiped clean and the new steady as she goes begins. If this sounds like too much sheltered life, think about it more as too many hands-on projects that always have hitches thus the aversion to engaging one more. This one just might be the one that just sparkles.
